@The Kool-Kittie-Krew, they sure are "Purrfect" together. I neglected to mention a friend of mine first sent this to me over a month ago, I was going to use it then never had a chance...then...a family friend (in his 80s!) just emailed it to me this morning and I decided it was meant to be used in the blog...TODAY!
Thanks for reading and for commenting!

What a lovely pair they are!!!Don't you think we can actually learn a lot from cats and dogs? They are animals but they have a purer, kinder heart than most of the so-called human beings.

They are always there when we need them and they never leave us or abandon us while we're in trouble. They know when we're happy or sad and they share our happiness or sorrow with us.

They are the best friends of hoomans!!!

Priscilla ohhhhh sooooooooo true! They love unconditionally and they do not "judge" or "prelabel"...

Thanks so much for such a wonderful comment and for reading!

What a remarkable story about unconditional love! How touching that the 2 depend on each other for guidance and comfort and friendship everday! Loved the story!

Caren Gittleman said...

@Ellie and Mom yes this cat is extraordinary and that is one lucky dog!

@The Teacher's Pets, animals are amazing and totally lacking the prejudices that we humans have. They are the FAR more intelligent species!

How sweet! Proof animals are just as thoughtful as we are - when we have enough food, shelter and love to feel secure.

i remember reading about these guys in CAT FANCY.....Cashew passed away and the family got another doggie but the kitty didn't bond with it like it had with Cashew....

Caren Gittleman said...

Kristin thank you! I am now following you as well! Thanks for reading/commenting about Cat Chat!

Caren Gittleman said...

@Au and Target, animals are MORE thoughtful than humans (well most humans!!) no matter how we humans are feeling! Thanks so much for reading/commenting!

"T" oh darn! Wish I had known this had been in "Cat Fancy"...I wouldn't have posted it! I had 2 friends send it to me, one sent it to me 2 months ago and the most recent sent it yesterday.
I just started subscribing to "Cat Fancy" again a couple of weeks ago, used to read it years ago. Have to say I was disappointed in my first issue....HALF of the mag is advertising....GREAT FOR THEM, bad for me! :)

"T" also forgot to thank you for the update. Did the 2nd doggie also have a disability? Doesn't surprise me that Libby didn't bond with the 2nd dog. If it had no disability she probably had no reason to bond with it. Also in this photo she was 7, Cashew was 14....she might have felt the new dog was in infiltrator or she felt she was betraying Cashew. Since she didn't bond with the next dog then they REALLY had a remarkable relationship! Thanks for reading/commenting
