The Cat Formerly Known As "Prince" Semi-Wordless Wednesday

My husband and I were commenting the other night about how Cody always lounges on chairs that appear to be rather "throne-like"...he has done this since he was a kitten.

When I adopted Cody back in 2007 his original name was "Prince". My husband has often said we should have never changed his name.

Based on these photos I think he has a point:

"Prince Cody" on his throne with his royal "subject" in utter awe

"Prince Cody" has always known he was a "Prince"

"you will bring me my dinner and you will bring it NOW!!"

  1. I think "Cody" suits him better. Although I bet he believes he is still a "Prince"! lol! Cute photos!

  2. @Alittlesprite...I think "Cody" suits him better too. When I adopted him the adoption volunteer heard I was going to name him "Cody" and said "Oh no! Every Cody I have known has been CRAZY"....I told her I wasn't worried about that....well....she was RIGHT!!! lol

Go go go, Cody!!! You're the PRINCE!!! Tell your subjects to prepare you more treats, more toys and to play more with you!

  4. @Ryan lol!

@Priscilla I do too...(shhhh...sometimes DAKOTA is more of a "prince" as you know!) Nooo no more treats, he can have more toys and yes he needs more play time!!

    Have a great day!

  17. No,I'm sorry, but I think Cody is a tad demeaning for a cat of such Royal Stature. I love the way his poor canine subject seems to be looking up in awe at his Royal majesty!
Happy new year guys from me & Charlie Coal!

  18. Prince Cody of the Catdom of Catatonia :)

  19. Perhaps it's time to set things right and address him properly as Prince Cody! Or perhaps he's ascended to the throne by now and should be called King Cody... His head has stayed remarkably small for this position! :P

  20. Nah...Cody is a much better name, especially since is now more of a king than a price.

  23. @Carolyn, I loved "prince cody of the catdom of catatonia" soooo much that I had to read that one to my husband OUT LOUD! lol

@wockley LOL!! I know! Dakota is always starting at Cody in complete awe, mostly when Cody is sitting in or on things that Dakota can't get to. He loves it when I tell him to "Get Cody off of that" because then he starts herding him! Happy New Year to you too!!

@Brian, got that right!! love it!

@The Chair Speaks, oh YES he does! :) The silly thing is that a lot of the time he prefers his "Daddy" :(
Go figure, when I am the "cat person" much more than his Dad! Makes me angry sometimes! lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Jen, yes he does! :)

@Jan....I laughed when I read your comment with "Sir Cody", the first thing I thought of was Elton John lol

  27. @Sammy and Andy thank you!!!!

@Hannah and Lucy, Bobo was a good kitty but like all kitties he had his wild times. He was a lot more active than Cody is. Bobo got more quality attention because he was the "only" pet...sometimes it is hard to give cody enough attention because of our dog. Cody is much sneakier than Bobo ever was! He LOVES to tease our dog! I bet you are a good girl!!

  28. @Yvonne, that is sooo nice of you!! Thank you!!! I am flattered! Pam at PBU made it for me. I have no clue how to make them. Thanks again!

@Jeni yes! all kitties deserve a throne!

  35. My human wonders sometimes if I should have been called Princess. Actually, I think Goddess is more like it! I think maybe Cody would like to be known as Boss Cody.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Or as Cody might say: "Call me anything but not late for dinner."

Prince Cody: how is your rendition of Purple Reign...er I mean Rain!
