I am gonna have a terrific day today! I overheard Mom talking about taking my brother, Dakota to the V-E-T today!! MOL!!!
I can hardly wait!! This is gonna be sooo much fun! Wait til I tell him what is gonna happen!!

| Turn about is fair play Sheltie Boy! |
The best part? I don't have to go!!
From what I heard Dakota has to
FAT!!!
FAT!!!
F-A-T!!!
Do you hear me? MOL!
Last I heard he is nearly 25 lbs and Mom and Dad said he should be around 21 lbs maximum.

| My fat brother Dakota |
They sure feed him enough! He gets a treat for picking up what he shouldn't, he gets a Kong ball full of treats when Mom and Dad leave....Mom gives him a treat when I have my lunch "so Dakota doesn't feel bad", no wonder he is like a helium inflated Sheltie!
Now I'm not the only fat boy in the bunch! Welcome to the club Sheltie Boy!! "Turn about is fair play" and now it is YOUR turn to hear how fat you are and be humiliated! I'm tired of it just being me!

I'll make sure I have a front row seat when you get home so I can hear all about it!!!
I am sooo excited! All of us at Cat Chat were "LOL'd" by Wendy! Check it out!

Hahaha awww Dakota, he's gorgeous, you're lucky to have such a brother Cody!
ReplyDeleteOur old dog Jabba got a bit overweight in her elderly years...too many people feeding her sausages under the table at Christmas!!
Dakota dear,
ReplyDeleteJust don't you listen to Cody. He's actually jealous of all the attention you're getting. You go to the vet, put on your best behavior and pretend to agree with all that mum and dad say, OK? purrrr.....meow!
I reckon the scale is wrong is all. demand a recount!
ReplyDeleteMe and My mom went to LOL-Spot this morning and we cracked up laughing so many times !!!! That's Brilliant !!!! Wendy, she have a really good talent to make us laugh non-stop !
ReplyDeleteAnd Cody, I couldn't believe you have your turn with Dakota today ( Cody, I'm on your side )... See Cod are not blind and so fair !
Can I say something to Dakota ?
Hey,... Tough luck !!!...ha..ha !
xxxx
Puddy
Oh,Cody, you are enjoying this waaaay too much!! lol
ReplyDeleteMOL!!! Oh Cody, I can see how happy you are to have a new member joining your club.
ReplyDeletePoor Dakota, I hope the VET won't advise you that you need to watch your diet. Oh dear, I know most shelties love foods. Eva LOVES foods too. However, if you have that extra pounds, it is better to get rid of it as it is good for your health.
Can't wait for the latest news about Dakota from you, Cody!
Oh boy, I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for Dakota!
ReplyDeletehe he- and the best part is dat you didn't has to go to the V E T!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this...I was laughing out loud. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAwww me and Charlie wish sweet Dakota all the best at the v-e-t! He's perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd lovely Cody!!! Awwww you love your broffur really!!! LOL!!
Congrats with being LOL'd!! yay!! Take care
x
@Michelle thanks so much!! I love to make you laugh! :)
ReplyDelete@Mario YEP! You got it!! That is the best part!!
@Au and Target...it is ok to LAUGH!!! MOL! Love, Cody
@Priscilla OMC does he ever love food!! Well...I do too so I am nobody to talk! Most of the problem is my fat brother is LAZY! He doesn't have a nice yard like Eva so he always wants to stay in. He thinks he is a CAT! MOL! Love, Cody
ReplyDelete@CindyLu...ohhhhh YESSSSS I am! :)
@Mr Puddy we loved what Wendy did too!! It was fabulous! "Hey tough luck" you know I love ya Puddy!!!! Your pal always, Cody
@Rumblepurr that is what they will say with Dakot but they sure don't say that with ME!!! Mol! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Cat-In-Sydney...Jealous??? Of the V-E-T???? NEVER!!!!! MOL! Heck he gets the Lion's share of attention EVERY DAY!!! (but not from my Mommy....Mommy loves us both but I am her FAVORITE!! MOL!) Love, Cody
@Ruth...yeah, yeah I know he is "handsome" and "gorgeous"....your Jabba was older when he got heavy...Dakota is only gonna be FOUR!! MOL! (me too. I will be four also)...now what was that you were saying about SAUSAGES???? You are making my MOUTH WATER! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteToo funny; Cody is a beautiful dog. My SIL use to have a sweet Sheltie named Heidi. She now has a Cavalier King Charles, who is such a lap dog.
ReplyDelete@Diane ok I know you called my Sheltie brother MY name cause it is early! He is Dakota! MOL! I am Cody! (but we love you anyway!!! It is early and my Mom named us those silly names that are too close in sound...everyone mixes us up!!)
ReplyDeleteOoooohhhh your SIL had a Sheltie?? I love it! I also really like Cavalier King Charles...they are so cute! Love, Cody
@Old Kitty...now don't go swelling Dakota's head anymore than it already is!! MOL! Yeah...he is "purrfect" in some ways...ok, ok we won't tell anyone but I DO love my brother (some of the time!!) Say hi to Charlie for me! Love, Cody
ReplyDeleteAwww...LOL poor Dakota!
ReplyDelete@Yvonne, yeah, yeah, yeah "poor Dakota" everyone feels sorry for HIM! What about ME?? When they call ME fat no one feels bad! Harumph!!! Love, Cody
ReplyDeleteOh Cody, I loved this bloggie you made! You are my kind of kitty. Ol' Dakota will know what YOU have to go through when your turn comes, But today...the day is allll yours!!! YOu get to have that little grin on your face when Dakota goes unknowingly out of the door to meet his fate of getting his grooming and maybe,..,maybe even his TEMPERATURE taken. Won't THAT be a hoot!?
ReplyDeletexoxo
We think you're very right to make fun of Dakota, Cody! But now you both have to go on a diet!
ReplyDeletePoor Dakota, diets are no fun, but good luck with the vet visit. Hey, I saw you over at Wendy's place, that was way cool!
ReplyDeleteLook on the bright side...maybe you can be his workout trainer. MwaHaHaHa!
ReplyDeletePat
www.critteralley.blogspot.com
Cody, it's bad kitty karma to gloat so much. MOL!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Dakota! :-)
I don't like to go to the VET as well, but it's necessary, mainly if it's time to get that vaccine.
ReplyDeleteAnd...don't say about diet! hehehe MOL
I'm a lucky kitty because VET said I'm slim. But poor mommy here...she is a little bit crazy about this theme! :)
A nice week for you all
Luna
Well, Dakota looks pretty good to us, but that slim snout may be deceptive re the weight issue.
ReplyDeleteMy hairy slobbery sister Bob is part Sheltie! She is bigger though and she needs a grooming! Her fur is all so tangled right now. But me cleaned her face this morning! And nobody here has to go to the vets! We feels bad that Dakota has to.
ReplyDeleteLove Nellie
@Admiral Hestorb OMC! I didn't even THINK of the part about having his temp taken! MOL!!! Thank you! I am so happy you enjoyed this! Love, Cody ((((hugs)))
ReplyDelete@Nellie...oh now I see why you have so much "fun" with BOB!! MOL! He is part Sheltie! Yeah my Mom keeps Dakota's hair a little shorter on top to help with matts because she is too darned lazy to brush him as often as she should! Don't feel bad for Dakota, he will get over it! Love, your pal, Cody
You guys aren't fat! You are BIG BONED! Yeah, that's it! MOL!!!! Our Auntie Nyx says some of us are the biggest cats she has ever seen! And yes, some of us are big bones but could still lose a pound or two.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Clarissa & Co.
@Simba "slim snout" I love it! It IS deceptive! you don't see his "belleh" cause Mom put up an older photo! MOL! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Luna it is important to be "crazy" about the weight issue...your Mom is right! Dakota doesn't need so many treats! You have a good week as well! xoxo
@Kea, "bad kitty karma" good point! I didn't quite think of THAT one! Might have to give that one some thought! Thanks for the tip! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Pat I am ALREADY his trainer! My Dad says that I am in control of all of our games...Dakota thinks he is but it is ME who says what game gets played and WHEN!
@Brian, we aren't sure about a diet yet...if Mom and Dad lay off the treats Dakota should be fine! OMC we LOVED what Wendy did! It was sooo hilarious! We also read your extremely kind comment and we THANK YOU! We think the WORLD of you and you know that! xoxo Love, Cody and Mom
ReplyDelete@The Monkeys..Noooo there will be NO diet for MOI! They already have me on rabbit food! All I can have is canned or dry rabbit, no treats and no human food...I draw the line at any further action taken! Oh and I am not allowed to "free feed" like so many of you kitties are! I have to wait for my Mama to decide what I get and when! Geesh!!! Love, Cody
@Clarissa, yeah that is the nice way of saying someone is FAT! That they are "big boned"...my Mama uses that trick too! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSammy says that f-a-t signifies a very happy kitty or woofy, whichever the case may be!!!!
ReplyDeleteAndy says he's a very happy kitty, even if he is very slender!!!!!!
We love y'all and hope Dakota's v-e-t visit gets a good report......except possibly about the weight thingy.
It is fun to rub it in, isn't it Cody? I'm sure Dakota gives you a rough time when you have to go to the vet too. But try not to be too hard on him. :)
ReplyDeleteMason
Thoughts in Progress
Poor Poor Dakota, I'm sure that some nice weight control food will do him good. We used it with Koda when he gained after he was neutured. Dakota looks very very handsome, but I couldn't imagine all the hair. It's worse than Koda's! I can most certainly understand not wanting to brush it all out!
ReplyDelete@Sammy and Andy....if we just stop with the treats then I think Dakota will be fine! He just doesn't exercise enough because he never wants to go outside (yeah I know that is strange!) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDelete@Mason Canyon...it sure is!! Nope, Dakota doesn't give me as hard a time as I give him! MOL!
@Erika and Blair...yeah that and Mom laying off the treats (and Dad too!) Believe it or not Dakota's hair isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. (I think Cody may actually shed MORE)...Dakota only sheds a few times a year...it is just keeping it tangle-free that is hard. xoxo
Seems like Cody has the last laugh after all! Especially after Dakota tortured him while he was in his cage.
ReplyDeleteI guess Karma is a bitch! LOL!
Mom and I agree with Mr RumplePurr--scales lie and cannot be trusted. Thanks for stopping by our blog today, too. Caren we have been emailing you at the aol address, I think maybe you missed it?
ReplyDeleteShady and Melissa
@shadytales let's hope the scales lie!! I just emailed you back....I have a different email for my bloggie friends/cat people/products etc...it is cgittleman at mi dot rr dot com
ReplyDeleteIt is more reliable than the AOL one! xoxo
@CCL Wendy....it SURE IS!!!!! Hope you saw your badge and linky! Linked you yesterday AND today!
ReplyDeleteWe soooo love what you did! THANK YOU!
Cody, it's great having a little revenge! But we think maybe BOTH of you might be DIEt-ing after today...aauuuuugh!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww poor Dakota, he´s such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteWe don´t love to go to the vet too !

ReplyDeletegood luck at the vet:)

ReplyDelete@Hilary yeah, yeah whatever!!! MOL! xoxo
@GlamKitty yeah! You got it! We are "Pleezingly plump!" more of us to love! I love YOU! xoxo
@Jen...another one with the "big boned"...MOL! As I said, my mom has been using THAT ONE for years! mol
@Luna and Luzie, if anyone likes it I would say they were nuts! xoxo
Cody, not even a little, tiny bit of sympathy?
ReplyDeleteHell hath no fury like a kitty called fat!
ReplyDeleteI wish someone would put me on a diet.
ReplyDeleteOh, we don't think either of you are fat! What good is life if you can't enjoy LOTS AND LOTS of treats? ;)
ReplyDeleteAww Dakota is embarrassed about being called fat on your blog :( lol!
ReplyDeletelol, hysterical!! Sib. rivalry rules!! -Ms. Z.
ReplyDeleteYep! heed the warnings Cody. Pride comes before a fall! lolol thanks for the laugh though xx
ReplyDelete@Ann....nope! Not so much! lol. Love, Cody
ReplyDelete@Carolyn lol! You are welcome!
@Ms.Z thanks! You got it! :)
@Stacy and Ellie he'll get over it!! (kidding!!!)
@Trixie-Lily and SammyJo I like how you think! "lots and lots of treats!"
@Mrs.Tuna you cracked me up!
@Cat, I couldn't have said it better!
Thanks everyone!! Your comments gave my Mom and I some great laughs today! Purrfect for a snowy day! We love ya! Cody and Mom
We say it's not fat, just more to cuddle. Don't be too quick to laugh though Cody, your turn may be next.
ReplyDelete@Eric and Flynn...I like that! (more to cuddle) Yeah, Yeah...I know! But I had my turn already! :)
ReplyDeleteThis post gave me the giggles. :)
ReplyDeleteCody, you and brother Dakota, looked like you were having a serious talk. Did you tell him what his Vet visit might be? Be kind to brother, especially if he has to diet. Maybe you two are just floofy, not f-a-t.
ReplyDeleteKassey
@Pup Fan...lol!!! You made ME giggle with that comment! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Great Granny, yep we sure were having a serious talk! Ohhhh yessss....wait til you hear!
We are "floofy" AND FAT! MOL!
Hahahah - Meow!!!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to Dakota!! Heheheheh!!!
Agree with Puddy - Cod is listening!!
Ha ha ha at your F-A-T canine brother, Cody! All I have to say is that I live here with just the Human, and **I** am the only slender one in THIS house!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I read the newest post first, oh the disappointment to come!
ReplyDeleteDakota is only fluffy..and four pounds well it is winter you know..and we all need a little extra fat to survive:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
