ps: My Mommeh was beside herself with worry for the year or so that Harley was at his worst with EGC and tried everything (an elimination diet, Transfer Factor, changing litter, aloe vera, stainless steel or glass bowls, etc). We don't really like to use steroids, but when the blisters started eroding his lips, we really had to do it. I think really he has just sort of grown out of it, but we think one of the things he reacts to is Brewer's yeast which is in a lot of foods.
At his last routine exam in December, the vet said he should take some Rescue Remedy because the stress of the visit might cause him to have a flare-up, and sure enough, he did just 2-3 days later. Now we have a supply of prednisone, and he takes a short course of prednisone at the first sign of a flare-up.

Daisy thanks so much for having your Mom share the info about Harley with us! I am going to mention the Brewer's yeast to the vet...I have to check Cody's food and see if it is in there. He only eats Royal Canin canned rabbit and Royal Canin dry rabbit/pea formula...when you mentioned stainless steel bowls my ears perked up because he prefers to drink out of Dakota's bowls which are stainless steel! How old is Harley again? Is he older than Cody? Cody just turned 4 and I am so sorry I can't remember how old Harley is!
