CatAmazing Amazed ME! Give-Away!

When I was approached a few weeks ago by Andrey "CEO (Cat Entrusted Official) of www.catamazing.com asking if I would be interested in reviewing the CatAmazing treat maze I have to admit I was skeptical.

http://catamazing.com/

I am one of the few who isn't normally a huge fan of cardboard toys for cats (yes I KNOW cats love boxes but I am always dubious of products made out of cardboard for the durability/longevity factor). Plus, I own what I thought was an almost identical product.

I am the first to say that I was DEAD WRONG. CatAmazing IS "amazing" and TOTALLY occupied Cody which is a rare feat. The HUGE difference between CatAmazing and another treat maze that I have, is that CatAmazing has a maze INSIDE of the outer box with holes. It is the internal maze that makes all of the difference and adds a much greater challenge for the cat, which leads to the cat being occupied longer, it's a CAT MAZE which is CatAmazing! It is FABULOUS!

About CatAmazing: CatAmazing was developed by Andrey for his cat, "Mooky" in an attempt to occupy him because he was bored with his toys. Being a cat of "immense brain" Mooky attempted to send Andrey instructions for the creation of CatAmazing via cat telepathy but Andrey wasn't well versed in "Meowth The Universal Language of Intelligent Beings." Slow on the uptake, Andrey eventually caught on. He showed the final product to Mooky's "senior lackey Natalie" and after she pointed out a few places that Andrey missed Mooky's instructions, Andrey made the changes and CatAmazing was born.

When CatAmazing arrived at my home I was super impressed with the care and sheer adorableness of the packaging. I opened the sturdy packing and proceeded to begin assembling.

Now, assembling ANYTHING is not my strong suit and for some reason I function as if I am the one without  opposable thumbs. Let me assure you that CatAmazing IS EASY TO ASSEMBLE, I am just easily frustrated. I was determined to assemble it without heeding their advice of watching the how to assemble video that they kindly provide on their website, after a few minutes I caved and watched....had I watched the video to begin with, CatAmazing would have been assembled in 5 minutes. Check out how EASY this is! The video is from the CatAmazing website:

Told you it was easy!

Now, here is a video of Cody enjoying his CatAmazing. It took him less than 3 seconds to figure out how to use this, but it occupied him MUCH longer than other toys! Cody's preferred method of "treat extraction" is to push CatAmazing with his head, why? I have no clue! I kept the cardboard "scratchy" sounds in the video because I thought it was cute!

Now! On to even MORE fun and a super funny coincidence! My friend Andrey at CatAmazing was already going to ship ONE CatAmazing to a lucky reader. READERS IN THE U.S. AND CANADA ARE ELIGIBLE!!

Then, a few weeks ago  Dakota, entered a give-away on his buddy Roo's blog (Roo's Doins) and Dakota won! (He will be posting about his win on December 15.) Well, Roo is one of the kindest doggies we have EVER MET! He sent Cody a bunch of kitty toys (and I am hugely embarrassed that I can't find the photos!) AND he sent Cody of all things,  a  CatAmazing!! Do you believe it? So, that left Cody with TWO CatAmazings! Cody and I decided that since the CatAmazing from Roo was a gift, that we would keep that one and the other CatAmazing will be given away! That means TWO PEOPLE CAN WIN! We will mail one of ours and CatAmazing will mail the other.

HOW TO ENTER: Leave a comment telling me why YOUR CAT is "Amazing!"

Be sure that I have a way to contact you should you be one of the winners! Deadline to enter is MONDAY, DECEMBER 17th at 5PM. Winners will be announced WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19TH!! Good luck!!!

  1. Cody looks like he's having fun in the video. This toy does look pretty cool. My kitty was pretty amazing at meowing, hence the name kitty kitty meow meow. I'm sure that my rat would have fun crawling in and chewing on this thing. Pretty cool!

  2. Well, I am usually too modest to toot my own horn...but, I would like to get my paws on (and in) this Amazing toy.

I am an amazing cat because I survived a fall off the balcony railing. Plus, I can get the lady to do anything I want by the power of my amazing personality.

  3. We will definitely pounce on the box unlike Cody patiently pawing through those cut-out holes. We will persuade our human to make an almost similar one! Purrs!

  4. I had a giveaway too, so of course you do not have to enter me, but I want to echo everything you said about how awesome this toy is! Like Cody, Binga loves pushing it with her head. In fact, I have to wait until she is napping if I want to play undisturbed! Good luck to all who enter!

  7. Allegra and Ruby (and I) think this is an awesome puzzle toy, too! Ruby is impressed with Cody's headpushing technique, she says she wants to give it a try the next time I put treats in the puzzle.

Don't enter us in the drawing, obviously, we already have one!

  9. Wow, Mommy likes the butterfly on the Cat Amazing, which sounds amazing BTW.

Scylla is amazing because she can stand on her hind legs, she is really cute when she does it.

Socks is amazing because he is a great mouser and a good cuddler. He always helps nurse the boy beans back to health when they are sick. You can reach us at alasandra (at) cableone (dot) net

  10. Looks like a SUPER fun challenge for cats! Sam's amazing for many reasons BUT one of the biggest reasons is that he turned my "not crazy about cats" husband into a total cat man who adores playing with Sam more than anything. Talk about amazing? Totally!

  13. Wow, I would totally love that CatAmazing, but it's hard to put into words how amazing all my cats are, because when you have 7 cats you realize each one of the so amazing and with such different personalities.

It is amazing that just a year ago they were 100% feral and with love and care they have become closer to us that I could even imagine, even though they are still very much feral.

I what I find most amazing is specially Goldie (who I share a special bond with), if he is away from the house, if I start calling him he comes out of the woods no matter where he is, he hears my voice and comes home), I love that and find it very amazing!

You didn't specify of the giveaway is for Intl. as well, but if it's not and I win u can mail my package to FL as well.

Thanks for this Amazing giveaway Caren and Cody!!!

  16. We just pulled out some furry mice for play time over the weekend. But we have to put the plug in the bath tub. Because they think it is super fun to drop them down there.

  18. When I first met the kitty now known as Joey he was a feral cat living under a neighbor's backyard shed, very wary of humans, standoffish, and combative. Over the years, since I took him in, he has become a sweet, loving, and devoted companion. Everyone tells me what a lucky kitty he is, but I believe that I am the lucky one and every day I try to make it known to him what an amazing cat he is!

  19. I wish they'd give me a Cat Amazing to try out and review. Maybe it would keep my brofur EK busy long enough for me to nap without him annoying me.

Anyway, I'm amazing cuz I'm so smart. I invent games like rolling toys under the bathroom door for mom to roll back. And when she won't play fetch with me, I play with myself! I roll the ball off tables or down the stairs and then go running after it!

  20. Ooh! Ooh!!! OOOH!!! I get to enter this one even though I'm a Canadian kitty. Yoo-hoo! YOO-HOO!!!

I asked my peep why she thought I was amazing (assuming she did) and this is what she said... "As you know, Nissy was a feral kitten, born in a woodpile. His mama brought his three siblings and him onto our veranda but we couldn't get near them for weeks on end. They were born in mid April and it took all summer to gain their trust. Nissy was the first to trust me. I would take out catnip toys on strings and sit quietly on the steps. Eventually, he began to play with me. This was likely the start of his addiction to the nip but... oh well... There were days when Madison would take the other three kittens off 'to school' and Nissy would stay in the shrubs, waiting for me. I'd sit down on the steps and there would be a rustling amongst the branches and Nissy would appear to play. Finally, he allowed me to touch him. By mid August, he came inside but what happened next is the amazing part. A week later, Nissy convinced his brother Desdemona to come into the house. I had never even been able to touch him before. Nor had I been able to touch the two girls but the following week, Nissy convinced both Beatrice and Constance to come inside. And then, to top everything off, NISSY TAUGHT THEM ALL HOW TO USE THE LITTER BOX! What a cat!

  21. We're all amazing, especially our big, older brother Seth who puts up with the rest of us getting our smells all over his most beloved cardboard when he'd really prefer to have it all to himself. He's the most patient and tolerant kitty ever, and best of all, he shares his toys! Purrs...from the crew at Colehauscats.com

  22. Each of the kitties is amazing in their own ways but Abby is especially because she connected to my heart and I to hers.

  23. Um, Codester doesn't look like the sharpest tool in the shed going for the small holes on the side when there are HUGE holes on top. Jus' meowin'. As a youngster, I didn't care for maze type stuff but TW thinks I may be ready now. The box also contains the 3 colors that cats see best.

    1. Actually oh "stunning" Keisha...he was quite smart. The kibble he was going after had fallen to the SIDE of the box and NOT the middle.....so in reality he was quite intelligent trying to find the quickest route, which happened to be ON THE SIDE....where the treats had fallen...."Jus' meowin"

  26. Tommie has opposable thumbs and giant adorable polydactyl paws. He shakes paws, and comes when we whistle, and holds my hand when we go to sleep.
Gracie snoopervises the house and sits on people. She has a large vocabulary, shakes paws and gives kisses when asked.
Mickey Mouser chases anything that moves and stands guard in the house - letting us know when we should hide under the bed. Three amazing cats would love this prize!

  34. I'd love one of these. We'd have to keep it in the one room of the house, where the dogs are allowed only with supervision, because otherwise they'd just destroy the box to get at the treats. That's why ALL cats are amazing, because they play nice. As for me, I'm amazing because I come when mommy calls me. Most of the time. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.

  35. That sure looks like fun! We think it would be great for one of the open cat rooms at PAWS. We are always amazed by the cats at the shelter -- with love and understanding, they almost always learn to trust the staff and volunteers. :)

  36. I have eight truly amazing rescued cats. One (Mishu) from the ASPCA where she sat in a cube for 5.11 years waiting for someone to adopt her, and NOT bring her back this time and seven others I rescued from my yard. One male (Mirage) who turned from the most fearful kitty that I would have to lower food out from my window to to a snuggler and then a Momma Cat Bandit, who used to steal Mirages food when he wasn't looking in the yard to her 5 most beautiful kittens anyone could ever want. All my babies were born on the streets, unloved and unwanted til they came here and have made a truly amazing transformation to be the most loving and sweetest kitties any pet parent could ever want. To me that makes them all pretty amazing. Rare a "feral" cat can make such a transformation.

  37. I like to think I have eight pretty amazing kitties. Mishu was sitting in a cube at the ASPCA for 5.11 years, adopted out and returned several times til I took her home. Mirage, a stray from my yard that was thrown out and fearful of me so much so I had to lower his food out a window for him to eat since he wouldn't let me in the yard when he was there to Bandit, she would always come and steal Mirages food and then her babies. i just rescued them from my yard this summer. Five of the most beautiful kittens you could ever see. All eight of my babies were born on the stree, unwanted and unloved. Why are they amazing. Within weeks of coming inside to live with us they have learned to trust and love us as we do them They are cuddlers, snugglers and purralators when you pet them. Not bad for eight cats that used to never let you near them. To me that is pretty amazing. :)

  40. You know, this looks like something Guido might enjoy. What's amazing about Guido is his sense of fair play. He shares his food with Au no problem because Au is 14 but when Target muscles in, Guido sits up like a bear and raises his paws to box. Good fun!

    1. Roo you are the SWEETEST! this was the BEST prezzie!! I keep it in my office and "food-obsessed" Cody is CONSTANTLY going over to it looking for more treats. It was so kind of you to think of him and I am an idiot that I mixed the other toys you got him in with his other toys and I can't remember which was which. Just thought of something...the photo wasn't on my phone, maybe I used my camera to take that pic. Will have to check! I can always post about them later! Love, Cody and Mom THANK YOU!

We can jump tall buildings in a single bound (ok, so tall bookcases); we can eat more food than one of those people at the hotdog contests; we play nicely with our dogs (that one is for SantaPaws) - and most of all we are all rescues who picked the best family in the world and they love to keep us busy with toys but we don't always have enough. Thank you Thank you Thank you - Noel, the Christmans Cat, Nine, the BullyBoy, and Baby Stella - the cats of DogDaz (you can reach us on our site or at DogDazCats2@aol.com) PICK US!!!!

  45. Hey Cody, Jet here.

Well, as you know, our felines, Fluffy and Puffy crossed over in August/November. So, we think we would appreciate receiving this and sending it as a special gift to a blog friend of ours. Unfortunately, biscuit $ got kind of thin over the last 18 months and we cannot joyously purchase gifts as Mom has in the past. So, we thought we would enter this give-a-way to then gift-a-way. :)

  47. Hi Cody,
You had that maze figured out pretty quickly. My 2 mancats are so amazing that when they jump down from a chair they land in a handstand balanced on their front paws and their hind ends in the air for a second or two. Trying to catch it on video. They swat a feather wand which is balanced on top of a condo scratching post like spiking a volleyball. They love to climb into boxes especially with holes in them to climb in & out of, so I know they'd love to play with this maze.

  48. I think Baby Beans is amazing because she was abandoned by her family and survived for weeks before I found her and adopted her. She had been declawed and left outside in January. She is a real surviver.
